Southern Africa Cluster Meeting
28 Jul 2017
The inaugural Southern Africa Cluster Meeting took place from 14 to 16 July 2017 at the Royal Swazi Spa Valley Resort in the Ezulwini Valley in Swaziland. The meeting was well attended by delegates from PKF member firms in Lesotho, Namibia, Seychelles, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe, supported by Theo Vermaak, Candice Unsworth and John Sim from PKF International.
Activities commenced with a leadership workshop dealing with Blind Spots, Potential and Personal Mastery. The interactive and hugely experiential session focused on discovering the importance of vision and the power of alignment. A very fun (and competitive) team building exercise allowed delegates to put their own leadership skills to the test! Our sincere thanks to Charmain Young from PKF Swaziland who sponsored the workshop.
Business sessions were action driven, resulting in measurable tasks and outcomes. Areas discussed at length include harnessing the joint strengths of the cluster members to expand their service offerings, better share training, technical resources and our most valuable assets, team members, and setting key strategic priorities for the next year.
The meeting closed in appropriate style with a dinner at the lovely Summerfield, set in beautiful botanic gardens.
The feedback has been very positive, and we hope to see all the members in the cluster participate in future sessions.
