New Isle of Man Charities Regulation introduced |
|
|
The issue of regulating charities has always provided challenges across a number of countries and jurisdictions. The desired outcome is normally to provide a robust system of regulation that provides a certain level of transparency to inspire credibility and confidence in charitable organisations; whilst avoiding excessive regulatory requirements that could have negative effects on both charities and those who contribute to worthy causes. The Isle of Man is already known as a desirable location for the establishment of charities and has introduced new regulations to further attract and encourage privately funded philanthropic arrangements. Details of these regulations are contained in the June edition of Offshore Bulletin which is now available in our Resources / Publications section. |
