PKF International Limited Appoints New Member Firm in Vietnam

PKF International Limited (PKFI) has appointed PKF Vietnam as the network’s new member firm in Vietnam.

Established in Hanoi in 2002 as Phuong Dong ICA, the firm changed its name to PKF Vietnam in September 2009. It now also has an office in Ho Chi Minh City and is one of the few international names with representation in DaNang, central coastal Vietnam. With fees of VND 14,000m, the firm has six partners, all of whom trained with BDO Vietnam, and 95 staff.

PKF International Liaison Partner, Pham Tien Hung, was recently awarded a scholarship to attend the Australian CPA programme in Melbourne, the only Vietnamese scholarship awarded during 2009.

PKF Vietnam’s Managing Partner and General Director, Mai Lan Phuong, has 26 years’ experience of providing audit and advisory services. The firm has particular strength in the construction, manufacturing and resources sectors servicing clients such as Viet Bac Coal Corporation, Uong Bi Coal Company, Viet-Gazprom JSC, Kinden Vietnam and Nafaco.

Commenting on the admission of PKF Vietnam to the PKFI network, Stephen Darley, Asia Pacific Regional Director, said: “This admission complements the balance of strong PKFI member firms across the SE Asia region very well and serves to bolster the global capabilities and experience of PKFI in mining & resources.
