Starting in November 2018, Jamie Drummond joins PKF International as Director of Assurance based in Aberdeen, Scotland. Jamie’s role is to support the network’s International Professional Standards Committee and to lead PKFI’s Assurance team as we go through a time of important developments in the assurance world.
Jamie joins PKF International with a wealth of experience from his previous audit role as a director in external audit with PwC in Aberdeen, joining in 2004, where he specialised in Oil and Gas. He also took part in PwC’s engagement compliance review process and in its firm-wide quality control inspections. Prior to PwC Jamie worked with KPMG in both London and Melbourne.
With tightening regulatory requirements coupled with heightened investor and media focus on audit quality, it is imperative that a firm’s processes are appropriately designed, robust and consistently applied by all its independent members. A good example is the revised global standard on quality management and control, due imminently
“I am delighted to join the PKF network, and it was great timing for me to attend the Tax and Assurance meeting in Paris this November”, said Jamie. “Being there it was clear there’s a real appetite and willingness to evolve our risk and quality processes and I’m looking forward to working alongside our worldwide independent network as we adapt to this rapidly changing audit landscape and embrace new technologies. A big part of my role is to provide practical and timely support to individual member firms as we collectively respond to these challenges.”
