Theo Vermaak

Appointing CEO of PKF Global in 2020, Theo is passionate about the sustainability and future of the accounting profession. He qualified as Chartered Accountant with PwC in South Africa, after which he sought multi-national experience in Kenya and Eastern Europe, held senior positions with PKF in the USA and South Africa, and conducted speaking and training engagements in the USA, Europe, Asia and Africa. 

His passion for the profession led to an interest to develop and promote its credibility. From 2006 to 2014 he represented PKF Global and the mid-tier audit sector on the Transnational Auditors Committee of the Forum of Firms and IFAC, and was elected as chair of the Forum of Firms from 2015 to 2017.  He has served on the SEC Practice Committee of the New York State Society of CPAs, and remains active as member of the ACCA Global Ethics Forum.
